Yakaleo ("we", "us", "our") operates a live radio streaming platform available on the web and as a mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Yakaleo, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Listening data: which songs you listen to, how long you stream, and the times you tune in.
• Engagement data: song requests, votes, favorites, and dedications you create.
• Device data: an anonymous device identifier, platform (iOS, Android, or web), app version, locale, and approximate country.
• Account data: if you register, your email address and display name.
• Form submissions: information you voluntarily provide through our contact, music submission, and newsletter forms.
• Usage analytics: aggregated statistics about how the app is used to improve our programming.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the stream, display now-playing metadata, and track charts and rankings.
• To process your song requests, votes, favorites, and dedications.
• To send push notifications and newsletter emails you have opted into.
• To review music submissions and respond to business inquiries.
• To analyze listener trends and improve our content and features.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use local storage on the web to remember your device identifier, playback preferences, and session state. The Yakaleo mobile app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, Google may use your device's advertising identifier, your IP address (which can indicate your approximate location), and information about how you interact with ads.

5. Third-Party Services

Our live stream is powered by AzuraCast, which provides playback metadata. We may also use analytics and push-notification providers. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal information.

Advertising: the mobile app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google collects and processes data as described in its own policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK, and some US states), the app asks for your consent before any ads are loaded, and on iPhone it asks for permission before using your advertising identifier. Ads still appear if you decline, but they are not personalized.

6. Data Retention

Listening and engagement data is retained for as long as needed to compute rankings and analytics (typically up to 30 days for ranking calculations, longer for aggregated trends). Form submissions are retained until no longer needed for their purpose.

7. Your Choices

• Disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
• Change your ad privacy choices at any time in the app under More > No ads > Ad privacy choices (in Spanish: Más > Sin anuncios > Privacidad de anuncios), where that option applies in your region.

8. Children's Privacy

Yakaleo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Yakaleo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
