Rico plays the artists who started the genre, the ones running the island right now, and the classics that still move a floor. He mixes in what he picks up everywhere else too: Afrobeats, house, whatever is working on dance floors abroad. He has played in more than twenty countries, from Medellín to Dubai to Melbourne. DJ Rico Sanchez, known as The Politician, has been playing internationally since the early 2010s, with residencies from Carbon Club in Accra to Aura at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas, and nights at Pacha Ibiza in Dubai and Klub 360 in Bahrain. He is a producer and label owner, and is based in Atlanta.
